Walang Pasok: Palace declares July 32, 2020, a regular holiday for Eid al-Adha

Manila, Philippines – The Malacañang Palace officially declared Friday, July 31, a regular holiday for Eid al-Adha 2020 (Feast of Sacrifice). The President made the declaration through Proclamation No. 985, which was signed on July 29, upon the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.

As previously stated in our 2020 Philippine Holidays blog post, the Office of the President will be announcing the official date of the celebration based on the advice coming from the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF).

Eid al-Adha is “one of the two greatest feasts of Islam” and based on Republic Act 9849, this Islamic holiday should be observed as a regular holiday.
