One of the world-famous and seven wonders of the world monument Taj Mahal in Agra will be open to tourists from September 21 onwards after a long 6 months of closing down due to lockdown from Coronavirus.

This was the first time that the monument was closed for such a long period. It was closed on March 17 before the nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of Coronavirus was announced.

All historical monuments in Agra have already opened from September 1 onwards; Taj Mahal and Agra Fort will reopen from September 21.

While the Taj Mahal will be reopened from 21st onwards, there are list of regulations that will be followed and there are more changes that tourists need to be aware this includes:

  1. Only 2500 visitors will be allowed to enter the Fort and 5000 tourists per day will be allowed for the Taj Mahal visit.
