On the first day of Navratri, the Gujarat statue of Unity opened for the general public. The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue located in Kevadia and had been closed for 6 months due to the covid-19 pandemic and lockdown announced by the central government. And from 17th October onwards they opened to the public restricting only 2500 visitors to be allowed to the spot per day and only 500 to be permitted to the viewing gallery. This measure was in place with rules and regulations followed by the government where social distancing was in place.
