Nepal the country that is largely dependent on tourism and especially for adventure tourism has suffered hugely due to Covid-19 and is now trying to retrieve tourism.

And now, Nepal has already started the construction of the Lord Shiva statue in Pumdikot of Pokhara and is dubbed to be one of the tallest Lord Shiva statue and nearly 45% of the work has been completed.

The standing Shiva statue would be 108ft tall and the one sitting would be 51ft tall. The total cost of installation is estimated to be NPR 400million ($33,94,139)

With this, the country is planning to boost tourism to Nepal and in particular, the Pokhara region said Chandrakanta Baral, Construction Committee Chairman. He also mentioned “We expect to complete the work within two years. Apart from a religious point of view, the spot is sure to support the promotion of tourism in Pokhara.”
