Amid Covid-19 pandemic, the state government of Karnataka, India has launched a concept of ‘Caravan Tourism’. The initiative is to review the fallen tourism sector which is highly affected by Coronavirus.
Chief Minister B. S Yediyurappa rolled out the minibus caravan and said the government is committed to promote and revive the tourism sector which is one of the major sources of employment.
The minibus caravans have bunker beds, toilet, bathroom and kitchen.
The tourism sector contributes nearly 14% of Gross State Domestic Profit and the CM of Karnataka says that caravan tourism promotes independent tourism ensuring the health, safety and social distancing measures.
In the first phase, the government will allow Caravan Tourism in Hampi, Gokarna, Badami, Kudremukh, Sakleshpura, Belur, Halebidu, Kodagu and Sakrebailu and the caravan can be parked for the night at…
